I often have people ask me what .tv is. I often get questions as to whether I am running a Television Station or something of that nature. Let me clear that up for anyone that is wondering; Haynes.tv is not a TV station nor does it have any affiliation with any TV station at the present time. Although, the .tv domain has been marketed towards TV station and media outlets; by VeriSign, which is private company that has been leased the .tv domain from the island nation of Tuvalu. Apparently, that was a question on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire; so now you know if you want to be a millionaire (don’t forget to share if you do become a millionaire).
So again .tv does not stand for television; even though some television stations use it. .tv is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the island nation of Tuvalu. In anticipation to any question you may naturally have about Tuvalu; I am personally not from Tuvalu nor do I currently know where it is. I have simply chosen the .tv because it is easy to remember; it stick it your mind; at least I hope, not to mention the .com, .org, .net, and .everything else was already taken for my last name Haynes. So that is the story of why it is Haynes.tv is not Haynes.com which was already taken by company that sells auto repair manuals.
